Haven't been posting work much but then again I haven't been drawing much since school ended. Fortunately, after being sucked dry of "talent" this past year I managed to will myself into drawing again. I mean, DRAWING, not sketching.

This was one of those pictures you don't intend on finishing when you start, expecting it to look mediocre but then end up finishing it anyways and sort of liking it. I guess it's been a while since I did some pencil work. Here is the Lady of the Woods. Maybe it's Artemis? Maybe not. Artemis is overdrawn anyways. Some parts of this image might look like it was cropped together. That's because it was. My scanner is dinky! I had to scan it three different times and piece it together in photoshop. I hate taking pictures of artwork, so I'll do it the hard way.

It's pretty difficult trying to make something look good when you don't have reference. I can't bend my back that way and I don't really want to ask friends to pose nude for me (lol)... especially at 2 in the morning. It's creepy. That's why there is lack of shading on her back/butt/leg area. That and I got lazy. Hurray! There's also some MAJOR foreshortening going on with her horns. Even so the scanner cut them off. Bastard.
