Description

Old as the hills (okay, like June) - a huge linocut (32x39") for the Martha Street Steamrolling Festival [link]
Anybody from the Winnipeg/Manitoba area should take part in the festival every June! The lino was free!

Obviously with such a size I chose not to indulge in an abundance of detail. Some prints were gorgeous and must have taken days!
Comically I finished my lino, felt good about it, then realized that I didn't make the lettering in my image backwards so that it would print the right way! This image is "backwards". Ha ha... whoopse! Next time I'll try to remember that. I'm too used to screen printing!

"Come, Lady Death" is a short story written by Peter Beagle (the Last Unicorn, Tamsin). I loved the portrait of her in the book with a skull mask and pretty hair so I did my rendition of it for the occasion.

My gallery is looking lax, so I'm uploading some older stuff and maybe some sketches before anything new and colored.

I dunno why but this remind me of the Mysterious Stranger, from Mark Twain. Maybe the mask?
Great piece, by the way! =]
